Daphne Lim

Solicitor

Daphne is part of our litigation team, working with Catherine Pendleton and her colleagues to resolve complex disputes and client issues.

Daphne’s expertise

Daphne qualified in 2018 with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from one of the top law schools in United Kingdom. Her legal career started within the field of New Zealand immigration law, after which she moved on to civil litigation and dispute resolution with an emphasis on employment law and dealing with resource management issues.

Daphne also has experience in commercial property, having worked in a large city-based firm in Auckland, prior to moving to Turner Hopkins.

Despite a varied legal career and exposure to several different practice areas, Daphne has always enjoyed working with clients within the employment and dispute resolution process. Daphne derives an enormous sense of achievement from helping clients to achieve a successful outcome and to see a smile on their face and the end of the process.

Having migrated to New Zealand herself, she is acutely aware of how complex certain legal situations can be, and she brings that empathy to every matter she is involved with.

When not assisting clients, Daphne enjoys several outdoor pursuits, including hiking and the occasional round of golf or tennis.

Daphne also brings Mandarin and Malay language skills to the team.
