  • We are looking for a Commercial Lawyer to join us, in our fantastic, new offices, located in Takapuna.

    We are hoping to attract someone with three to five years of PQE experience, where the right candidate will have the opportunity to advance their technical skills and professional development.

    There will be scope for you to develop your leadership skills, by working with one or more of the Partners in managing and building the commercial team.

    Alternatively if you have five to seven years PQE and already have an established client base (or be able to build one), this role could be just what you are looking for.

    We are looking for candidates with excellent technical and legal skills, and an ability to manage and develop long-lasting client relationships.

    About the Role:

    This role is a critical part of this busy team. You will directly support the Managing Partner, Michael Robinson, as well as work closely with another legal secretarial support member to provide occasional assistance to 1 Principal and 2 solicitors at differing stages of their careers.

    You will be responsible for:

    - Supporting a wide range of administrative tasks within the team;

    - Working with other members of the team to reduce the administrative load of the Partner and Solicitors wherever possible;

    - Communicating with clients where appropriate ensuring they have an incredible customer experience;

    - Juggling a number of priorities on any given day.

    Ideally you would have:

    - Proven experience as an EA/Legal Secretary within a busy Law firm - (Relationship Property/Dispute Resolution/Debt Recovery and Mediation experience desirable but not essential);

    - Attention to detail;

    - Typing speed of 50 words per minute or higher;

    - A great attitude and a sense of humour;

    - Commitment to maintaining confidentiality;

    - Prior experience with Infinity Law or similar document management system.
