Avdo started as a law clerk with Turner Hopkins and now works within the civil litigation team. Avdo also also lends his expertise to colleagues in our commercial disputes department.
Avdo’s expertise
Having graduated in 2020 from the University of Auckland with a conjoint bachelor degree in Law and Commerce, Avdo began his career with Turner Hopkins in the capacity of a law clerk. Being mentored by the team here he moved swiftly in to a role as a solicitor within the civil litigation team.
Prior to joining us, Avdo spent two years in the city, providing legal administrative support, although he readily admits that he prefers the environment here (in Takapuna and Turner Hopkins), having easy access to our senior staff and being able to work collaboratively on client issues.
Avdo enjoys the complexity that the law brings, and being able to find clever and unique solutions for clients, amongst all of that complexity - simplifying it all to achieve the best outcome.
Originally hailing from the former Yugoslavia, Avdo moved to New Zealand over two decades ago and enjoys all of the outdoor pursuits and activities that the country has to offer, including canyoning and mountain biking.
