Cherie started her legal career in 1984 when she took on her first role as a junior legal secretary in a large litigation department. She qualified as a Legal Executive in 1997 and went on to complete her LLB at Auckland University, graduating in 2004. Since graduating she has worked for three general practice firms doing residential and commercial conveyancing, estates, trusts and relationship property. She then took some time out of her career to bring up her two children. She has realised her speciality is in litigation and now works in the litigation department at Turner Hopkins specialising in the recovery of debt.
Outside of work she has a wonderful family who keep her very busy. She is a very community minded person, always volunteering and joining committees and is a Board of Trustees member at her children's primary school. Her hobbies (when she gets time) are anything craft related, in particular building period miniature 1/2 scale houses and furniture.
