Barrie Hopkins
Barrie Hopkins is a highly regarded commercial lawyer having been on the Boards of, or legal advisor to, many prominent companies.
Barrie started his career in 1946 as a law clerk in our firm’s forebear Lovegrove George & Turner, then a two partner/three staff firm in the City. Barrie was instrumental in expanding the firm from its modest beginnings in Queen Street to a major firm with branches in Takapuna, Albany and Orewa.
In 1977 Barrie decided to concentrate on his special interest of commercial practice, which he carried on for 30 years from offices in Downtown Auckland. Last year he relocated to Shortland Chambers.
We are delighted that by mutual agreement Barrie and his practice are once again associated with Turner Hopkins. Barrie lends his wealth of experience and expertise as a consultant to our firm. Our clients enjoy access to his central Auckland facilities at Shortland Chambers, 70 Shortland Street. In the same way, Barrie is happy to accommodate North Shore clients who may wish his assistance by meeting them at our premises at 400 Lake Road, Takapuna.
Barrie says – remember he has been a Takapuna boy virtually all his life.
